Donald Trump Jr. tried to make a joke linking disgraced former Democratic politician Anthony Weiner to attorney Michael Avenatti. In response, he received a warning ― and a challenge ― from Stormy Daniels’ attorney.
Who else is excited about Avanetti/Weiner 2020?!?— Donald Trump Jr. (@DonaldJTrumpJr) October 8, 2018
It’s gonna be Carlos Dangerous. https://t.co/yLWO1D2rwx
Avenatti fired back:
Bif: If I were you, the last thing I would be doing is referencing other people getting out of federal prison. Because after you are indicted, you will likely be passing them on your way in. BTW, they don’t have silver spoons or gold toilets in the joint. Buckle up Buttercup. https://t.co/jnDq4weHZh— Michael Avenatti (@MichaelAvenatti) October 9, 2018
Later, for good measure, Avenatti challenged both the president’s son to an MMA fight for charity:
This would be for two great causes. I’m in. https://t.co/zo46yhsXCi— Michael Avenatti (@MichaelAvenatti) October 9, 2018
When someone asked if they would be using protective headgear in the theoretical matchup, Avenatti replied:
You’re kidding right? Answer - NO.— Michael Avenatti (@MichaelAvenatti) October 9, 2018
The Trumps have not responded to the challenge.
CORRECTION: A previous version of this story indicated Avenatti challenged both President Donald Trump and Donald Trump Jr. to the fight.
