'Breaking Dawn -- Part 2': Vamp Bella reunites with Jacob in new clip
In mere weeks, the premiere of The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn — Part 2 will rain down romance, blood, and of course screaming, lusty fans. For now, we have a new peek — and a feisty one at that. Witness this line: “Jake, you really do stink!” Those are the words of a ruby-eyed, paler-than-usual Bella (Kristen Stewart) during her first meet-up with Jacob (Taylor Lautner) after she becomes a vampire. As for this particular clip, unveiled by MTV Thursday, there’s a nuanced moment of understanding between Jacob and his longtime rival-turned-Bella’s husband Edward (Robert Pattinson). Watch for it now.
Before Bella comments on Jacob’s beast-like stench, heightened through her ice cold, vampire nose, she warns him not to come closer. “It’s safer for the baby to see how you do with me first,” responds Jacob, his pristine pecs almost bursting through a tight, long-sleeved brown shirt. Asks Bella, “Since when do you care about Renesmee?”
Er, well, Jacob cares A LOT — really A LOT. He’s creepily imprinted (unconditionally bound shapeshifter-style) to Bella and Edward’s fast-growing vamp-human hybrid daughter. Cut to a shot of Jacob making intense eyes at Edward, who pleads silently not to pursue Bella’s question. Then Bella sniffs Jacob, who notes how great a nuzzling Bella and Edward look together. No time like the present to start buttering up one’s future in-laws!
