'Big Bang Theory': Kaley Cuoco and Cast Get Emotional at Chinese Theatre Handprint Ceremony
TheBig Bang Theorycast is getting ready to say their goodbyes.
The cast filmed their last episode ever on Tuesday, and they reunited Wednesday morning to cement their place in Hollywood history. Kaley Cuoco, Jim Parsons, Johnny Galecki, Simon Helberg, Kunal Nayyar, Mayim Bialik and Melissa Rauch got together for their handprint ceremony at the TCL Chinese Theatre, where they emotionally reflected on the show's 279 episodes.
"Having just wrapped the final episode the night before, we’re on a bit of an emotional roller coaster," executive producer Chuck Lorre said on Wednesday. "But we can definitely count this iconic handprint ceremony at the Chinese Theatre as one of the highs. We'd like to thank all of our viewers who've supported us over the last 12 years and made an unforgettable event like this possible."
"We did tape our last episode last night, so I can still live under the delusion that we are still working together," Parsons added.
Nayyar told ET that filming the show's last episode was very emotional. "I don't think there was a dry eye in the house," Nayyar said. "I think the fans will be very happy. The writers have done an incredible job and have been incredibly precious with the show for 12 years, and have done the same thing with the finale."
Cuoco, meanwhile, teared up while talking about the many years she's shared with her castmates. "This is the greatest cast in the world," she raved. "I feel so honored to be up here."

Cuoco and her husband, Karl Cook, celebrated the final episode with a glass of wine. From the set, she posted up a storm on Instagram, documenting the show's conclusion. Cuoco, Nayyar and Galecki surprised fans standing outside the studio and hoping to snag standby seats. And on stage, she gave Lorre an emotional hug to mark Big Bang's end.
The Big Bang Theory's final two episodes air May 2 and May 9 on CBS.
