A$AP Rocky was recently questioned about Drake’s alleged disses aimed at him and Rihanna on the rapper’s new album, For All The Dogs.

On Tuesday (Oct. 31), a TMZ reporter crossed paths with the Harlem rep while he was out for a jog, with Rocky inviting her to attempt to match his pace while simultaneously conducting an interview. While the hapless reporter, who filmed the exchange, quickly fell out of distance with Rocky, she was able to blurt out a few questions in between gasps, one of them concerning the Canadian hitmaker.

“Are you gonna address the Drake diss,” the reporter asked Rocky, who could be heard encouraging her while chuckling at her attempts to keep up, but gave no clear response. Later catching up with the “Pesos” rapper, the reporter asked him what running shoes she should buy, prompting him to suggest his new Flacko Formula 1 Pumas, which he recently debuted as part of a multiyear partnership with the brand. When asked what was “the dumbest thing you’ve heard this year,” he chuckled before responding “A lot of things.”

Rocky ended the encounter by saluting the reporter on her efforts, offering her a free lunch in a show of respect. “You’re a trooper, God bless you,” he said. “I heard about what happened. Lunch on me ’cause I heard you threw it up. So lunch on me.”

Released in early October, For All The Dogs marked another successful release for Drake, debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and spawning two Hot 100 topping single, but has come with its share of controversy. The rapper has been accused of throwing shots and settling old scores, including one involving Rihanna, who shares two children with A$AP, sons RZA and Riot Rose.

Drake, whose public displays of affection toward the Barbadian megastar in previous years are well-documented, has been long believed to be miffed about Rihanna’s relationship with A$AP, whom she began seriously dating in 2020. On the song “Fear of Heights,” the 37-year-old appears to refute speculation of him being lovelorn over the Grammy Award-winning hitmaker.

“Why they make it sound like I’m still hung up on you?/ That could never be/ Gyal can’t run me/ Better him than me/ Better it’s not me,” he raps, seemingly referencing Rihanna’s Caribbean ancestry. He then attempts to diminish the experience of being with the unnamed woman, but seemingly gives hints by repeatedly saying “Anti” in the verse, which could be seen as a not-so subtle reference to the Billionaire’s 2016 album title.

Drake And Rihanna Onstage During Award Show
Drake presents Rihanna with the The Video Vanguard Award during the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards at Madison Square Garden on August 28, 2016 in New York City.

“I’m anti, I’m anti/ Yeah, and the sex was average with you/ Yeah, I’m anti ’cause I had it with you/ Okay, I’m auntie like your daddy’s sister/ Auntie like a family picture/ And I had way badder bi**hes than you, TBH/ Yeah, that man, he still with you, he can’t leave you/ Y’all go on vacation, I bet it’s Antigua,” he raps, appearing to throw Rocky into the fray, as well.

On single “Another Late Night” Drake gets a bit more blatant, playing on A$AP’s nickname while appearing to differentiate himself from the rapper. “I ain’t Pretty Flacko/ Bitch, this shit get really Rocky,” Drake says at one point during the song.

A$AP is currently gearing up for the release of Don’t Be Dumb, his fourth studio album and the long-awaited follow-up to TESTING, which he released back in 2018.
