Anya Taylor-Joy Sparkles to the Max in Dior Crystal Dress, Eva Green Goes Gold and More Stars at ‘Furiosa’ Cannes Film Festival Premiere Red Carpet

Anya Taylor-Joy, Eva Green, Greta Gerwig and more made dazzling entrances at the premiere of “Furiosa” on Wednesday at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

“Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga” is the prequel to director George Miller’s 2015 Oscar-winning film “Mad Max: Fury Road.” The film follows Furiosa’s vengeful fight to return home after being abducted by a horde of bikers. The film debuts in theaters on May 24.

Anya Taylor-Joy opted for a nude strapless Dior gown covered in crystals. She paired her custom-made look with Tiffany & Co. jewelry, including a diamond-encrusted statement necklace and cocktail ring. The “Dune: Part Two” star was styled by Ryan Hastings, who also counts Taylor Russell and Rooney Mara as clients.

Chris Hemsworth and Elsa Pataky

Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, embraced black-and-white dressing, with the “Thor” actor wearing a cream blazer, white button-up and black trousers. Pataky sported a plunging black gown with a mermaid silhouette, accessorizing with diamond jewelry.

Greta Gerwig

Gerwig sported one of this season’s hottest hues, red, wearing a custom Armani Privé gown with embellished straps. The “Barbie” director completed her look with diamond Chopard jewels. Gerwig was assisted by stylist Karla Welch, whose other clients include Sarah Paulson and Olivia Wilde.

Eva Green

Green, one of this year’s Cannes Film Festival jurors, opted for a high-neck Balmain gown featuring gold sequined scales and mesh cutouts.

The 77th annual Cannes Film Festival occurs from May 14 to May 25. “Barbie” director Greta Gerwig serves as the jury president for this year’s festival, held in the South of France. Several high-profile premieres, including Francis Ford Coppola’s “Megalopolis” and “Furiosa” starring Anya Taylor-Joy, are expected to take place, while Meryl Streep will receive an honorary Palme D’Or.
