Anya Taylor-Joy Pairs Her Shaggy Skirt Suit With a Fabulous 1920s-esque Headpiece

Anya Taylor-Joy is continuing her bridal streak in the French Riviera. Today the actor once again hit the red carpet at the 77th annual Cannes Film Festival, this time in an all-white ensemble that made us dream of a European summer.

For this appearance, Taylor-Joy traded her gowns for an edgy tweed skirt suit. The set, from Jil Sander’s Fall/Winter 2024 ready-to-wear collection, was composed of a super-cropped boxy jacket in a sophisticated cream tone and a matching low-rise pencil skirt. The structured jacket was embellished with some messy fringe at the high collar, sleeves, and hem, giving it a fun street-style spin. The skirt, too, had fringe along the bottom.

Taylor-Joy made sure to continue the shaggy aesthetic with her hat—an ivory 1920s-inspired beanie composed entirely of tiny beads, a curtain of which cascaded down like more fringe and was camouflaged amongst the actor’s wavy blonde hair. The flapper-esque piece was the perfect feminine contrast to Taylor-Joy’s dark, smoky eye makeup and subtle raspberry lip tint.

The star kept her ensemble monochrome with a pair of strappy white sandals, some white diamond rings, a diamond brooch, and a milky-white manicure adorned with clear crystals.

Taylor-Joy wore the stunning look, fit for a modern bride, to attend a photo call for her new film, Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga, with her castmates at the fabulous Palais des Festivals. She was seen posing on the red carpet with costar Chris Hemsworth, who looked like a real-life Ken in a three-piece baby-pink suit.
