The actress confirmed internet rumors while walking the red carpet at the film's London premiere.

"I cannot believe that we kept the secret that long," Dune: Part Two director Denis Villeneuve recently told EW in an interview about the highly anticipated sci-fi sequel. At that time, a big-name celebrity who makes an appearance in the film was still under wraps. But no secret can stay buried forever.

Now that Anya Taylor-Joy has walked the red carpet at the London premiere of Dune: Part Two on Thursday, EW can confirm that she does have a role in the film. It's so secret that her name does not even appear in the closing credits. But after the social media movie site Letterboxd included her in their cast list for Dune: Part Two, the cat was let out of the bag. Now Taylor-Joy is officially appearing as part of the cast, wearing a white shroud worthy of the Bene Gesserit.

"It required so much work to keep that secret," Villeneuve told EW. "Everybody signed with their blood."

"Yes, you'll have to see the film," Taylor-Joy confirmed at the film's London premiere during a live-streamed red-carpet interview. "This is probably one of the best movies I've ever seen in my entire life," she added.

As for joining the cast, the actress said, "This is a dream come true. The books are incredible, but with this cast and with Denis, it doesn't get any better than that."

Her role in Dune: Part Two marks the first of two desert-set Warner Bros. blockbusters to star Taylor-Joy this year. Furiosa, the Mad Max: Fury Road prequel in which she plays a younger version of the character originated by Charlize Theron, is set for release in May.

Taylor-Joy is not the only rising star joining the Dune franchise with the second film. Florence Pugh also debuts as Princess Irulan, with Christopher Walken as Irulan's father, Emperor Shaddam IV, and Austin Butler playing Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen. Timothee Chalamet, Zendaya, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, Rebecca Ferguson, and Charlotte Rampling all reprise their roles from 2021's Dune.

Dune: Part Two is in theaters March 1.
