Anya Taylor-Joy’s Black Bob Makes Her Look like a Brand New Person
We associate Anya Taylor-Joy with her long blonde hair, even though she’s dabbled with other hair colors throughout her acting career. But, Anya Taylor-Joy’s black bob came as a huge shock because it’s unlike any hairstyle we’ve seen her with before. Sure, she can pull off any hair color, but there’s something so strange about seeing her don the exact opposite of her usual look. Above everything else, this huge transformation has just taught us how versatile she can be. Only Anya Taylor-Joy could perfectly suit both long blonde hair and a black bob.
Anya Taylor-Joy’s long Rapunzel hair has become synonymous with her look. She might’ve had red hair for her role in The Queen’s Gambit, brown hair in Split, and even a shaven head for her upcoming role as Furiosa, but we’ve always recognized her gorgeous blonde hair as her signature look. After she admitted she was willing to shave her head to play Furiosa (thank goodness she wore a wig instead), we cherished all of her sickening blonde hair moments at Cannes even more. So naturally, this recent hair transformation pretty much gave us a heart attack.

In addition to playing Furiosa, a badass wasteland survivor, she’s also pulled off several dominatrix-inspired looks. We might’ve typecasted Anya as an elegant fashion muse, but she’s proven she’s much more than that. No matter how startling it may be, this black bob symbolizes a new era for Anya, and it perfectly encapsulates the dark and sultry vibe she’s been putting out for some time now.
