Antonio Brown Ordered To Pay $169K To Man He Sold Fake Watch To

Antonio Brown has been ordered to pay out a six-figure sum to a man he’s accused of selling a fake luxury watch to.

On Tuesday (Sept. 19), a social media post surfaced filming a court proceeding in which a judge ruled in favor of the plaintiff, awarding him a judgement of $169,000 in the case. In the comment section of the post, Brown appeared unphased by the outcome, simply writing, “Put that sh*t on” along with a laughter emoji.

News of the lawsuit against AB first surfaced in Oct. 2022, when Ryan Kane of Florida took legal action against the former NFL star in Broward County, alleging that Brown knowingly sold him the fraudulent timepiece back in July 2022.

According to Kane, the AB told him that the watch was an RM 011 model and was valued at over $400,000. However, after getting the watch appraised and authenticated, he was informed that it was only worth hundreds of dollars and was fake, prompting him to file a suit against the 35-year-old.

Brown has been the center of controversy in recent years, with a string of personal, professional, and legal incidents landing him in the headlines. After announcing his ownership of the Albany Empire of the Arena Football League, the receiver and his team were kicked out of the league due to his failure to pay players on the roster. He is also accused of threatening his players on the team with a gun during a dispute over the removal of a tribute to a late member of the Empire organization.

“AB looked at Ryan [Larkin] and was like, ‘Hey, man, you still got the AR in the car? Go get it,’” former Empire wide receiver Darius Prince told ESPN. “Then I was like, I’m not going to allow this dude to walk out of here after you just threatened us… After he said that, things did calm down, and we had a conversation. But the fact is that he threatened us by telling his assistant to grab his AR.”

Brown last played in the NFL for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers during the 2021 season prior to being released by the team. He has also been hit with warrants due to his failure to pay child support and other alleged incidents.
