Feb. 9 (UPI) -- Bosch: Legacy actor Anthony Michael Hall and Sonya Cassidy from Lodge 49 have joined Reacher for the Prime Video action drama's third season.

They will star alongside Alan Ritchson in the title role and Maria Sten as his longtime friend Frances Neagley.

Season 3, which is in production in Toronto now, is based on Persuader, the seventh book in Lee Child's best-selling novel series.

The next run of episodes will find Reacher going undercover "to rescue an informant held by a haunting foe from his past," a Prime Video press release said Thursday.

Hall will play Zachary Beck, a successful businessman Reacher suspects is involved in a criminal operation, while Cassidy will play Susan Duffy, a DEA agent from Boston.

Season 2 premiered in December.

Suspicious of technology and authority, Reacher is a Robin Hood-type antihero who generally travels by bus from town to town, living off the grid, helping strangers in trouble and solving crimes.

Neagley -- Reacher's former fellow U.S. Army police investigator -- is the one person with whom he consistently maintains contact.
