Anthony Michael Hall Announces He and Wife Lucia Renewed Their Vows: 'We Shall Live Happily, Ever After'

Anthony and actress Lucia renewed their vows on Nov. 11 at St. Mary's Cathedral in Miami

Anthony Michael Hall and Lucia Hall are married — again!

On Nov. 11, Anthony, 55, and Lucia, 32, renewed their vows at St. Mary's Cathedral in Miami three years after they tied the knot in a private ceremony on Nov. 7, 2020 on a beach in Miami. Like so many couples, the Halls were forced to postpone the wedding of their dreams due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Anthony promised his wife they would still have their planned church ceremony one day.

In an essay posted on his Instagram on Monday, Anthony shared his and Lucia's winding journey to the altar with their 5-month-old son, Michael Anthony Hall II, by their side.

Way back in 2019, the couple set their wedding date for Nov. 11, 2020, but when the pandemic hit, they knew they didn't want to put off saying "I do," even if it meant postponing their church wedding for something simpler.

"Like many, when Covid arrived, we were forced to reschedule our plan: to be married at the Cathedral of St. Mary in Miami on 11.11.20," Anthony wrote. "Being romantics, we decided we'd get married anyway, which we did, in a private civil ceremony on November 7th, 2020 on the beach in Miami."

He continued, "Being a man of my word, I had promised Lucia that we would stick to our original plans. We would still be married at St. Mary's Cathedral, sometime in the near future."

On Nov. 11, Anthony kept his word when he and Lucia renewed their vows "in union with God, in the company of our 5month old son Michael (wearing a tux like his daddy)."

Surrounded by their family and friends, the couple finally pulled off the ceremony they've been dreaming of for the past three years.

After the wedding, the couple and their guests continued the celebration with a "beautiful" reception party at the Fontainebleau Hotel. The Halloween Kills actor previously shared a short video from the reception featuring him, Lucia and their son standing in front of a towering wedding cake on his Instagram earlier this month.

"I am happy and so blessed to introduce.. My Family," Anthony wrote alongside photos of Lucia and baby Michael. "The Hall family. We shall live — happily, ever after."

In addition to sharing details about his vow renewal, the Weird Science star also opened up about parenthood in his essay, which can be read in full on the actor's Instagram.

Anthony and Lucia exclusively announced the arrival of their son to PEOPLE in July.

At the time, the actor opened up about Lucia's "smooth" pregnancy. "She was really amazing with it. She’s very healthy and has great genes, so it was all smooth and other than being a little sleep deprived now, really great," he said.

"I couldn't be happier because I always knew, even when I was a young man, that I wanted to get started later," he continued. "Here I am at 55, and I’m fully committed. I’m excited. My wife and I are really into parenting and diving in."
