On Sunday’s “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune,” former “Desperate Housewives” star Marcia Cross and Minnesota Timberwolf Karl-Anthony Towns struggled with a “Before and After” puzzle.

Towns was extremely close to solving the three-word puzzle when he said, “Martin Short, Short Circuit.”

“Black-ish” star Anthony Anderson was quick to hop on Towns’ technical mistake, and forced a call from the producers. The producers sided with Anderson, who properly answered “Martin Short Circuit.”

While the technical gaffe helped make for some game show drama, during the show’s broadcast Towns also had a huge night on the basketball court. The power forward put up a season-high 40 points in a win against the Houston Rockets. His wins didn’t stop there as he raised $30,000 for the Vera Institute of Justice compliments of “Celebrity Wheel of Fortune.”

KARL ANTHONY TOWNS: We just talked about.

- We talked about how we do it. You got to do it. And you were added a second time there, so we have to go by the rules here. You understand that being in the NBA as you are, where the refs never miss a call.
