Another Rom-Com with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore In the Works?
Adam Sandler has been in countless romantic comedies with some of Hollywood's finest including Jennifer Aniston, Winona Ryder, and Brooklyn Decker, but perhaps, some of his best have been starring alongside Drew Barrymore. The two have proved to have unrivaled on-screen chemistry, providing viewers with a highly enjoyable experience.
Recently, Sandler sat down with HollywoodLife! for an exclusive interview and was asked if the former Saturday Night Live star can expect to produce another romantic comedy with Barrymore. After all, the two created instant classics in 50 First Dates, The Wedding Singer, and Blended. Sandler hinted that there might be something in the works for the two in the near future.

Sandler Dishes on Possible Reunion with Barrymore
In the interview with HollywoodLife, Sandler was asked about a possible reunion between Barrymore and himself in another rom-com. His answer was very emphatic and encouraging.
"She’s a guarantee. She’s a guarantee happy time for me," the Waterboy star gushed. And it was highly ironic that just after the interview, Barrymore was presenting an award for Sandler as Best Actor at the National Board of Review Annual Awards Gala in New York City for Sandler's performance in the blockbuster hit, Uncut Gems.
Barrymore's tribute to Sandler was utterly heartfelt and focused on the true love the two have for one another, having worked on countless projects together.
Barrymore Presents Sandler with Best Actor Award
Both Sandler and Barrymore posed together on the red carpet, prior to the event, and Sandler couldn't compose himself for what was to come later in the evening. "Nobody’s sweeter and I’m going to see her tonight. She’s presenting me this award and I can’t wait!" Sandler said to reporters.
For Barrymore, the opportunity to present the award to Sandler was something she could never have dreamt of and was particularly reflective of the relationship she's had with him over the years.
"I love this man so much and I have always believed in him," Barrymore said to begin her speech. "This moment could honestly could [not] be more deserved. I know that everyone is rooting for you because you have earned everyone’s respect. You deserve the best, you give the best and you are the best. I love you very much."
Barrymore Discusses The Two's First Meeting
Barrymore would continue on her touching tribute to her former costar and friend. "To make people laugh is really the most healing thing we can do on this earth and that is Adam Sandler in a nutshell to me," she shared.
The former child star would even go on to discuss the first time that the two met. She described her appearance during their first interaction saying that she had "big purple hair and [wore] a vintage leopard coat". Sandler on the other hand, was dressed in his everyday garb wearing "a giant baggy t-shirt and baggy, knee-length shorts".
'Like Audrey Hepburn and Spencer Tracy'
Barrymore concluded the award presentation speech by sharing her vision for the two and that she believes the two are destined for another movie together.
"I told him, I know that we are destined to work together. I know we are a match and I believe you in so much. I want to be like [Audrey] Hepburn and [Spencer] Tracy even though we don’t look like them, but I just want to be in this partnership with you," she finished.
With Barrymore starring in three big films that Sandler has been in and directed, it's highly likely that we'll see the dynamic duo in another one in the not so distant future.
