Tons Of Attention

Jenelle Evans is going through some changes, but that's nothing new for her.

It's been that way for Evans for years, ever since she first set foot in the public eye.

Evans was first seen on MTV on their teen pregnancy reality show, "16 and Pregnant."

After that, she joined "Teen Mom 2," where her family life with her kids and husband David Eason garnered high ratings for MTV. It did spawn some fun gifs of Evans reacting to events in her life, including arguments she's had with her mom.

Nugget Was Innocent In All Of This

But after a while, the tables turned, and the attention Eason was getting over his unacceptable behavior was bringing unwanted attention to the show.

Things got further heated earlier this year when it was revealed that Eason shot the family dog, the French bulldog named Nugget.

Eason said that Nugget tried to bite their daughter, and said that he was only protecting his kids. But he admits that he shot the dog. That doesn't sound like a humane way to take care of a dog that's getting out of hand.

Family Split

For a time, Evans and Eason both lost custody of their children, leading to more ugly scenarios for the family.

And partly because of that controversy, MTV decided that Eason would no longer be associated with the show.

But that left Evans, who had to tiptoe around him and the TV cameras, making sure she wasn't with him during shooting and still ensuring she appeared on camera.

But MTV ultimately decided that the new arrangement was too much work to maintain, and they dropped Evans from their show.

She's Finally Seeking Divorce

Evans got a lot of flack from her fans for staying with Eason after the whole dog-killing thing, but it sounds like she's starting to wake up from that previous life.

On Oct. 31, Evans said she filed for divorce from Eason. She added that she left "the Land," which was the home and property they shared, and took the kids with her to some place out of state. That's what fans really wanted to hear.

Will We See Her Again?

But since Evans has left the show, the ratings of "Teen Mom 2" have taken a tumble.

Cheatsheet reports that the latest season premiere of the popular reality TV show had about 300,000 fewer viewers than it normally does.

We can't be sure whether this was directly due to Evans' now-vacant spot on the show, but it does seem curious.

Does this mean that she could return to the show now that Eason is out of the picture?
