Another Hollywood star seen at The MacPherson House in Fayetteville? Find out who

The MacPherson House is a bed & breakfast on Hay Street run by Katy Stevick and her husband.

Actor Jake McDorman recently stayed at the MacPherson House, a bed and breakfast in Fayetteville's Haymount neighborhood.

McDorman, 36, has appeared in films like “American Sniper” and “Lady Bird” and television series like “The Right Stuff,” "Greek" and “Watchmen.” Coincidentally, his "American Sniper" co-star Bradley Cooper also has ties to North Carolina. Cooper's sister, Holly Cooper, lives in Wilmington.

McDorman stayed at the inn from Sept. 1 to Sept. 7 while visiting family, MacPherson House owner Katy Stevick said.

“He's been such a sweetheart,” she said.

Innkeeper Mary Webb said Friday that she was chatting with McDorman as she does with any guest staying at the inn when he told her that he was an actor and listed some of his credits from the big screen.

"I just interact with my guests every morning and we got to talking," she said.

It was not McDorman's first stay at the MacPherson House, Webb said, and he's not the only Hollywood star who has visited the inn since it opened in 2020.

"Anchorman” star and former “Saturday Night Live” cast member Will Ferrell and his family stayed at the historic property last year while attending his niece’s October wedding.

Sitcom star Tichina Arnold, known for her roles in "Martin," "Everybody Hates Chris" and "The Neighborhood," has also stayed at the inn, Stevick said.
