The actress has been hospitalized after reportedly crashing her car into a Los Angeles home.

Actress Anne Heche is in critical condition after crashing her car into a Los Angeles home and igniting a blaze, according to new reports.

The crash occurred at 10:55 AM on Friday, August 5 in the Mar Vista area of LA, police told Deadline.

"The vehicle was heading east on Preston Way at a high rate of speed, entered the T intersection at Preston Way and Walgrove Ave, ran off the road and collided with the residence in the 1700 block of Walgrove," a spokesperson for the Los Angeles Police Department told the publication.

"The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver was transported to a local hospital by LAFD,"  according to police.

The actress is in critical condition after suffering severe burns as a result of the fire, which also spread through the home up to the roof.

"Fifty-nine Firefighters took 65 minutes to access, confine and fully extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure,” Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department stated, per Deadline.

According to TMZ, Heche was involved in a minor accident at an apartment complex right before the incident, but she sped away from the scene. She crashed into the home just a short time later.

In harrowing footage obtained by the outlet, the actress' blue Mini Cooper is seen speeding down the street before the crash, which you can also hear in the clip.

Another camera angle shows firefighters putting out the fire on the roof of the house, while Heche is seen being taken into an ambulance on a stretcher.

According to CNN, as of Saturday morning, Heche was in intensive care. "Anne is in the ICU, she's lucky to be alive. She has severe burns and has a long recovery ahead," a source close to Heche reportedly told the publication. "Her team and her family are still trying to process what led up to the crash."

It's currently unclear whether alcohol may have played a part in the accidents.

A rep for Heche later told People that the Emmy winner, while intubated, is in "stable" condition. Her family and friends "ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time."
