Anne Hathaway Said This Was Moment She Knew Adam Shulman Was ‘The Right Guy For’ Her

Anniversaries in any relationship are major and deserve to be treated as such. But sometimes, the grand plans you have to commemorate the day you and your spouse said “I do” in front of family and friends gets…rained out. After Anne Hathaway and her husband of 11 years Adam Shulman scrapped their anniversary plans, the couple had a cozy day in and Hathaway had a moment where she realized just how perfect Shulman is for her.

During a recent appearance on Late Night with Seth Meyers, the Les Misérables Oscar winner revealed how she and Shulman commemorated their wedding anniversary. “[We] got rained out,” Hathaway told Meyers. Indeed, the downpour in New York City definitely tampered with anyone and everyone’s plans. Thankfully, Hathaway and Shulman made the necessary accommodations to have a nice night in.

The actress described that the two “re-pajama-ed” before snuggling up on the couch for some binge-watching. “I had a moment where I was curled up on his chest, and we were watching, like, hour three of Abbott Elementary, where I was like, ‘I’m so happy. This is the right guy for me,'” Hathaway said. Um, sounds like the sweetest moment ever!

Hathaway and Shulman exchanged their wedding vows in back in 2012. Four years later, the couple welcomed their first child, a son. In 2019, Shulman and Hathaway had another baby boy.
