Anne Hathaway’s Latest Red Hot Premiere Look Was the Perfect Blend of Sexy & Elegant

If you’ve kept up with Anne Hathaway‘s fashion lately, then you know that the Oscar-winner has undergone quite a transformation lately. In addition to looking as radiant as ever, Hathaway and her stylist Erin Walsh have evolved her looks into an edgy, elegant, daring style that has cemented the actress as a true fashion icon.
In Hathaway’s latest appearance, at the New York premiere of The Idea of You, she continued her incredible red carpet streak in a showstopping red Versace gown. The strapless dress, which included piped boning that sculpted her curves, included cutouts under the chest and a scalloped neckline. To add to the sexier side even more, the dress also had a thigh-high slit on one side.

Walsh then styled Hathaway’s red-hot dress with silver rings and dangling silver and green earrings. As for glam, Hathaway’s brunette locks were put into a ponytail alongside her glowy skin and pink lips. So stunning!
In The Idea of You, Hathaway plays a divorced mom Solène who gets swept up in a romance with a 24-year-old member of her teen daughter’s favorite boyband, played by Nicholas Galitzine.
“I’m so honored to have been the first choice for this,” Hathaway said in a press conference earlier this month. “It was such a beautiful character in such an amazing world.”
“A part of me did ask the questions, ‘Where have these stories gone? Why did they stop?’” the actress wondered. “These questions, I saw all of these fantastic answers to them in the script and the story, and I just thought ‘Wow, what an unbelievable sort of meta exploration.’”
The role also proved to Hathaway that her career is still full of excitement in her 40s, unlike what she was led to believe when she was younger. “When I started out as a child, I was warned that my career would fall off a cliff at the age of 35, which is something I know a lot of women face,” she said in an interview in November with Net-a-Porter. “The thing that has evolved during [that time] is that more women are having careers deeper into their lives, which I think is fantastic.”
The Idea of You premieres later this week on May 2 on Prime Video.
