"I'm just really grateful for the support," the "True Blood" star says.

Anna Paquin is feeling the love.

After the actress walked the red carpet while using a cane at the premiere of her new film A Bit of Light earlier this week, the internet was abuzz with concern for her well-being — and she was deeply affected by the outpouring of care.

"I am extraordinarily touched and moved by people showing that they care and being interested and kind about it," Paquin told Entertainment Tonight. "At some point I will probably elaborate on my own platform in my own words. I'm just really grateful for the support."

Paquin, 41, has been experiencing undisclosed health issues for the past two years, which affect her mobility and speech. "It hasn't been easy," she told PEOPLE of needing a cane to walk.

A source told PEOPLE that Paquin is expected to make a full recovery. Representatives for the actress didn't immediately respond to Entertainment Weekly's request for comment Friday.

A Bit of Light, which hit theaters Friday, marks Paquin's second film with her husband, Stephen Moyer, behind the camera; he also directed her in 2018's The Parting Glass. The two met while starring on HBO's True Blood, and they share 13-year-old twins. Moyer also directed Paquin in episodes of True Blood, as well as the Prime Video series Flack.

In A Bit of Light, Paquin stars as an alcoholic mother who loses custody of her kids and has to rebuild her life while also finally confronting her past.

Paquin has been in the entertainment industry since she was a child, winning a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for Jane Campion's The Piano at only 11 years old.
