Anna Faris Says She 'Struggles' with Marriage 'on a Kind of Feminist Level'
Anna Faris isn’t sure she wants to get married again.
The Mom actress, who has been married twice before, opened up about her views on marriage while speaking to divorce attorney Laura Wasser for her Divorce Sucks! podcast.
Asked if there were “wedding bells” in the future with boyfriend Michael Barrett, Faris, 42, said, “I will say I believe in love and monogamy and I believe in the commitment with a relationship. But I do struggle, having gone through it a couple of times now, Laura, with the idea of our legal system.”
She added, “I struggle with that on kind of a feminist level.”
Faris, who has been dating the cinematographer for a year and a half, was married to Chris Pratt, 39, for eight years before they split in August 2017. Their divorce was finalized in December 2017, and the couple share 6-year-old son Jack.

The actress was also married to actor Ben Indra from June 2004 to April 2007. Their split was finalized in February 2008.
It’s not the first time Faris has spoken of her reluctance to walk down the aisle once again.
She told Dax Shepard on his podcast Armchair Expert in March 2018 that she didn’t quite understand the purpose of making things official.

“I need to figure out what the purpose is. Is it safety for your children? Is it convention? Is it so other people respect your relationship more?” she said. “For me, I’m just not quite sure where it fits. I am a romantic. I believe in a partnership, I believe in companionship. I just don’t know if I believe in a ceremony of a wedding.

Faris was first spotted with Barrett, 48, in September 2017 after both worked on the film Overboard.
Her ex Pratt, meanwhile, has moved on as well, and popped the question to girlfriend Katherine Schwarzenegger, 29, in January.
Both couples united in October to take Jack trick-or-treating on Halloween.
“It seems they all get along really well. Everyone had a good time,” a source told PEOPLE at the time. “They were making an effort to make sure Jack had a great Halloween.”
