This is not a drill: the ever-so iconic actress Ann-Margret is about to have a biopic made of her life; and she allegedly already has someone in mind. Not much is known right now, but we do know something: she’s reportedly given fellow redhead Lindsay Lohan to play her.

An inside source exclusively told Us Weekly this past week that Ann-Margret has given Lohan her blessing to play her, and is apparently going to spend a lot of time with her to help her prepare.

The insider told the outlet that Lohan “feels she’s the only one who can play the part” and that this biopic could “take her career to the next level.”

And this isn’t the first time we’ve heard about Lohan wanting to play the iconic actress.

In March 2024, she told Bustle that she wanted to play Ann-Margret for some time. “She’s a triple threat, and she’s an amazing woman on top of that,” she said. “So I just really want to do her justice and help tell a great story for her.”

Now, this isn’t the first time Lohan has played an iconic actress on screen. Back in 2012, she played Elizabeth Taylor in the TV movie Liz & Dick. Since then, many fans have been excited to see her try her hand at another biopic.

As of May 11, 2024, according to Lohan’s IMDb, she has two credits that are in some sort of production: her rumored reprisal of her character Anna for Freaky Friday 2 and the lead in the comedy Our Little Secret. So truly, we don’t know much, but what we do know is that we’re obsessed with this development in her Lohanaissance.
