Titmouse, the busy animation studio behind projects including Netflix’s Big Mouth and Paramount+’s Star Trek: Lower Decks, has signed with WME for representation.

The talent agency will partner with the L.A.-based studio — which also has locations in New York City and Vancouver and employs over 1,000 people — as it is working with CBS Studios on the Among Us animation adaptation of the popular Innersloth online game. The company has also recently joined with character brand the Cool Cats Group, which produces the Cool Cats NFT collection, on a series of episodic short films called The Milk Jug.

Titmouse has additionally contributed sequences to Sony’s 2023 film Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and worked on Amazon Prime’s Fairfax, AMC+ and Amazon’s Pantheon, Apple TV+’s Frog and Toad, and Comedy Central’s Digman! and Mike Judge’s Beavis and Butt-Head. Beyond its animation work, Titmouse has expanded into selling merchandise and holding live shows, festivals, events and interactive experiences.

Founded by Chris and Shannon Prynoski in 2000, Titmouse started as a T-shirt company that was named after the tufted titmouse, a North American songbird, but ultimately pivoted to animation when “nobody was buying [the Prynoski’s] T‐shirts, but television and film studios kept giving them money to make cartoons,” according to the Titmouse website. In 2020, the company signed a multiyear overall deal with Netflix amid the success of the sitcom Big Mouth, with Netflix’s then-animation head calling the company “at the forefront of the evolving animation industry.”

Recently, the company has also been at the center of a renewed unionization push in animation. In 2020, the Vancouver outpost became the first animation studio in Canada to unionize, according to IATSE, joining the Canadian Animation Guild (Local 938). Two years later, Titmouse New York became the first studio outside of L.A. County to be unionized by the Animation Guild (IATSE Local 839), while that same year Titmouse L.A. also joined the union.
