Angelina upset after 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation' cast snubs Lauren's boutique opening

If you have a grand opening party for your new women's clothing boutique and none of your reality TV friends come, did it actually happen?

That's the question facing Lauren Sorrentino, wife of Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino, on the Thursday, Sept. 14, episode of MTV's “Jersey Shore Family Vacation.” Lauren held an event at her new Bijoux Boutique on Route 35 in Middletown in late March, and the only cast member to show up, besides her husband, was Angelina Pivarnick.

“I know a lot of them can't make it today,” Lauren said. “Deena (Cortese) texted me today and said congratulations. She said the kids had a dentist appointment. (Sammi Giancola) texted me. She had something for her store (on the Ocean City boardwalk) so she's stuck.”

Angelina made the scene, and so did the 495 Productions cameras.

“I feel like everyone should be here right now — it is what it is,” said Angelina to Lauren. “You're a realist and you know not to have expectations.”

Or something like that.

“It's sad,” Lauren said. “Your friends are not here. Why are your friends not here is kind of of a buzzkill but (Angelina) wasn't wrong. She was stating the obvious.”

Notably absent was Jenni “JWoww” Farley. She lives near the Sorrentinos in Holmdel, a short drive to Route 35 in Middletown.

“She lives right here, bro,” said Angelina to Mike.

“She does,” Mike said. “Listen, I have to give her the benefit of the doubt. She's got two kids. I'm still allowed to be a little upset, that's all, because I would have loved for them to be here.”

The situation blew up later at Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi's Toms River home, where she was hosting a charcuterie party. Jenni, Deena and Sammi were there, and Angelina came late.

The beef got turned around to Angelina and the girls instead of Lauren and the girls.

“It's not something for you to understand,” said Jenni to Angelina. “It's for Lauren to understand.”

Angelina called Mike for an explanation.

“I figured my friends (Jenni, Nicole and Deena) had an excuse and that's what I stated,” Mike said on the phone.

“Mike, you didn't say it like that,” said an exasperated Angelina.

The hills of Holmdel have been shaken.

“How is this a big thing, that's just life,” Lauren said. “At the same time, she pointed out just the obvious fact — none of them came and (Angelina) didn't just show face, she bought a lot of stuff. She didn't have to buy anything.”

“Jersey Shore Family Vacation” airs at 8 p.m. Thursdays on MTV.
