Jersey Shore” history may have to be rewritten.

The Season 1 and 2 departures of Angelina Pivarnick from the show have been interpreted as drama with the Shore Store T-shirt shop (Season 1) and drama with the roomies in Miami (Season 2).

But did Angelina actually leave because her heart was broken — by Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino? A pre-”Jersey Shore” relationship between Angelina and Mike has been recently revealed. The two were regulars at the former Deko Lounge in Sayreville, and dated before “Jersey Shore” debuted in 2009.

On the Thursday, Feb. 29, episode of “Jersey Shore Family Vacation,” Mike said he was able to get Angelina on the original cast of “Jersey Shore.”

“In 2008 they called me and asked, 'Do you know anybody who might be good for the show?' ” Mike said. “I was like, 'I might have somebody for you.' ”

“What made you think of Angelina out of all your friends?” asked Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi.

“We had just dated. We were just chatting,” Mike said.

“Sexting,” Angelina said.

“We said, 'Alright, we can't say we know each other,' ” Mike said. “We stayed friends and that's how (Angelina) ended up on the show.”

The premise of the Jersey Shore in 2009, filmed in Seaside Heights, was that the new roommates were strangers. Mike and Angelina were not strangers.

“Wait, wait is that why you took such offense to him being in the jacuzzi with randoms?” asked Jenni “JWoww” Farley about the infamous scene from the first episode.

“Yes!” Angelina said.

Angelina was also upset when Mike and Sammi shared vibes on the first episode.

“It all makes sense now,” Nicole said. “You had feelings.”

“The math is mathing,” Jenni said. “Now I am shook.”

“So you left early because you didn't want to film with your ex,” asked Pauly DelVecchio.

“Basically, yes,” Angelina said.

Deena Cortese also disclosed that she and Vinny Guadagnino hooked up.

“It was it was a long time ago,” Deena said. “Fine. I kissed Vinny once. It was before Italy. Now I look back and I'm like ew! It's literally like incest.”

The roomies were in Atlantic City as Mayor Mary Small Sr. proclaimed it “Jersey Shore” Day on Sept. 22, 2023.

“It's the place where JWoww made the backhand famous, and our large beautiful beaches stand out from all other beaches so even Snooki has no trouble finding it,” said Small in his speech.

He, or one of his staff members, is obviously a fan of “Jersey Shore.”

Vinny spotted an ad for his Chippendales show at the city's Hard Rock on a boardwalk tram.

“When you're on a golf cart dressed like a stripper in Atlantic City, you made it,” Vinny said.

The cast then headed up to Seaside Heights for a rare visit to the Shore House at 1209 Ocean Terrace. Yet tension between Angelina and Sammi escalated to the point where Angelina's fuming in her hotel room delayed the Seaside Heights trip for hours for the female roomies.

“Nothing's changed,” said Sammi of the Shore House once inside. “It still smells exactly the same — like sweat and regret.”
