Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt are still battling it out over their winery, Château Miraval, even though the 48-year-old actress sold her shares to Tenute del Mondo, a Stoli Group subsidiary, in 2021. The legal fight is just one component of their years-long fight over their divorce after they split in 2016, and this case just took an ugly turn for Jolie.

The former couple initially tried to work out a deal where Jolie would sell her share of the winery to Pitt. He was reportedly asking that she sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) about the 2016 domestic violence allegations as a part of the deal, which she refused, and the deal quickly fell apart. Now, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge has ruled in Pitt’s favor and Jolie’s legal team must turn over all the NDAs that she’s signed in the last eight years, according to Page Six. The Eternals star has only a month to deliver “all non-privileged documents in her possession, custody, or control that are responsive to” Pitt’s legal team.

That may not seem like a big deal, but the request could include her Hollywood work with producers and studios, along with brand deals, and household staff. It’s a ruling that someone from Pitt’s camp described as a “crushing blow” to Jolie’s case. Her team originally tried to block the request, calling it “expensive,” “wasteful,” “unreasonable,” and “abusive.” While Pitt’s side seems to be claiming that this is “the latest in a series of pre-trial victories” for the actor, Jolie’s legal team still have some fight left in them.

“Common NDAs are simply not comparable to Mr. Pitt’s last-second demand to try and cover up his personal misconduct,” the statement to Page Six reads, “We are more than happy to turn them over and we are gratified that the Court acknowledged that the only potential relevance is to the unconscionability of Mr. Pitt’s conduct, a now confirmed key issue in this case.” They added that Jolie “looks forward to the eventual end of this litigation with its false narratives that continue to hurt the family and interfere with their ability to heal.”

Pitt will have more legal battles to deal with once his fight with Jolie is over because Tenute del Mondo is suing him and his company Mondo Bongo for “diverting Château Miraval’s funds to their own entities” to utilize the profits for their “personal expenses,” per legal documents obtained by The Blast. It’s a messy entanglement of divorce, lawyers, business, and money, which will be a long road for Pitt in the end.
