Angelina Jolie celebrated the New York premiere of her new film, "First They Killed My Father," on Thursday surrounded by her family.

The director stunned on the red carpet at the DGA Theater for her Netflix flick in a strapless, muted purple gown, which she rocked with an intense red lip and a simple hairdo.

Jolie welcomed her two oldest songs, Maddox and Pax Jolie-Pitt, on either side of her on the red carpet as she posed for photographers -- a move that she's been doing at every one of the film's premieres over the past few weeks. The rest of her kids -- Shiloh, Vivienne, Knox and Zahara -- were also all on hand at the pemiere, though they didn't pose with their famous mother.

In an interview with ET on the red carpet, which you can watch above, Jolie opened up about working with her son, Maddox, on the film.

"[Maddox] is very studious, much more than I am," she said with a smile. "When we did our notes in the production meetings, his were always better than mine. He's very studios, but he's got a wicked sense of humor and he's very fun to be with."

Also notably in attendance? Jolie's father Jon Voight, who the actress had previously been estranged from. Voight showed up with his brother and they posed on the red carpet together. Though it doesn't look like Jolie and Voight interacted at all in front of the cameras, his support of her film signals a promising step forward for the father-daughter duo.
