It’s still new and definitely low-key, but Angelina Jolie is dating amid her divorce from Brad Pitt. According to an Us Weekly source, the Maleficent star has slowly started venturing back onto the romance scene — but she isn’t in any hurry to get serious, settle down, or ever get married again. Still, she’s been “on a few dates,” meaning she’s ready to put the past behind her and move on from Pitt.
The source continues that “nothing serious” has come of the dates Jolie has been on so far. However, that doesn’t mean nothing will or that Jolie won’t be receptive if the right romance does come along. “She isn’t closed to the idea of meeting someone new, but it’s not her main priority. She’s all about focusing on the kids, her job, and cleaning up her messy divorce,” said the source.

And that certainly seems to track. Jolie has been busy at work recently first filming and then promoting Maleficent 2. She has also been spending a lot of time with her and Brad Pitt’s six children: Maddox, 18, Pax, 15, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 13, and twins Knox and Vivienne, 11.

According to the source, Jolie will likely take a more proactive approach to romance once her divorce from Pitt is officially finalized (right now, they are legally single, but not divorced). “She’ll get back to the dating scene, without a doubt,” insisted the source.
At this point, Jolie is still working on healing her wounds. And as another source told Us Weekly, the activist-actress simply isn’t there yet. “Angelina still has a lot of resentment toward Brad,” the source said. “She wants him to be held accountable because she feels he turned her and the children’s lives upside down.”
How does that expression go, though? Ah, yes — time heals all wounds. Jolie and Brad were together for nearly 12 years and married for two before splitting in September 2016. So, yeah, Jolie might need a little more time to process that loss, and she should take it.
