Angelina Jolie Entered a New Business That May Show Where Her Future in Public Life May Go

Angelina Jolie has worked in so many different fields over the years. While acting was her first love, her philanthropic duties have clearly been her biggest passion. Over the years, she’s directed, co-written books, and has continued her acting chops, despite claiming she’ll leave Hollywood the moment she can. And now, she’s dabbled in another field: opening a philanthropic cafe.

Per the Eater, Jolie has opened a Noho cafe in collaboration with EatOffBeat. The cafe is located in Atelier Jolie (which is an art space Jolie recently opened), and it hires refugees to help jumpstart their careers.

According to the same outlet, the cafe serves Turkish coffee, Moroccan tea, and “light bites and freshly baked goods by our Chefs who currently hail from Syria, Sri Lanka, Venezuela, and Senegal.”

The new cafe is open six days a week: Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m, and we’re sure after the news broke, many flocked to the new cafe.

We love that Jolie is branching off to more ventures, all of which seem to combine with her love of helping others. This new cafe she opened is definitely a rather unexpected business for her, but it may indicate her next era when she can leave Hollywood.

While she has multiple acting jobs on the horizon, she has openly spoken about how she is ready to leave the star-studded life behind her: and this may be hinting at what she was talking about for her next stage. Instead of constantly being under the spotlight, she may do things more behind the scenes and in a way that plays to her strength of philanthropy.
