Angelina Jolie & Daughter Vivienne Celebrate ‘The Outsiders’ Broadway Preview in Rare New Photo

Angelina Jolie was one proud mama on Wednesday night. Her 15-year-old daughter Vivienne Jolie-Pitt attended a preview of the new Broadway musical The Outsiders, which she helped produce with her mom! The duo looked so cute posing with the members of the cast in a rare new photo.
The Maleficent star wore a black blazer and sunglasses as she stood in the middle right of the photo with the cast at the Bernard B. Jacobs Theatre in New York City. Jolie-Pitt was front and center, kneeling down with cast members in a blue Nike sweatshirt and jeans, with her brown hair down. She looked so happy!

Also in the photo was Matt Dillon, who starred as Dallas Winston in the 1983 Francis Ford Coppola film adaption of the book by S. E. Hinton; Adam Rapp, the writer of the stage adaption; and director Danya Tamor, per Entertainment Tonight. Several cast members were there as well, including the show’s lead actors Joshua Boone, Brody Grant, and Sky Lakota-Lynch.
The Girl, Interrupted star announced her daughter would be her volunteer assistant for the musical in Aug. 2023. “Viv reminds me of my mother [actress Marcia Lynne ‘Marcheline’ Bertrand] in that she isn’t focused on being the center of attention but in being a support to other creatives,” Jolie said in a statement. “She’s very thoughtful and serious about theater and working hard to best understand how to contribute.”
Jolie shares Vivienne and Knox, 15, Shiloh, 17, Zahara, 19, Pax, 20, and Maddox, 22, with ex Brad Pitt. The two divorced in 2016 and have been in a long custody battle since. An insider told Life and Style Magazine in August that Pitt isn’t a big fan of his daughter working with Jolie on this musical.

“He thinks this is just another attempt by Angie to drive a wedge between him and his daughter,” the source said. “The situation has started a whole new war between Brad and Angie. Of course, Brad is happy that Vivienne’s found something she’s passionate about, but he’s worried that he may lose her in the process.”
Hopefully now that the musical is about to premiere (on April 11!) Pitt will come around and be more supportive of his teen’s endeavors in the entertainment industry.
