Angelica Hale becomes first 2-time Golden Buzzer recipient on 'AGT'

11-year-old Angelica Hale proved she's still got a lot of fight left in her when she sang Rachel Platten's "Fight Song" on America's Got Talent: The Champions. She not only blew away many fans and judges, she also made a little history along the way. Hale was the runner up in season 12. Guest judge Chris Hardwick gave her a Golden Buzzer that season, sending her straight to the finals. Ultimately she lost to ventriloquist Darci Lynne, but she is still supported by many fans. And while most of the judges were fans of Hale's performance this season, Mel B thought it could have been better. She said, "I thought you would have taken this song and put your own Angelica twist on it because you have the tools to do that." This was met by boos from the audience and other judges. It didn't end up mattering what anyone thought, because Howie Mandel used his Golden Buzzer to advance Hale directly to the finals. He said, "That was your fight song. And if I can do anything, I'm gonna help you win this fight." Hale became the first act in the show's history to receive two Golden Buzzers. America’s Got Talent: The Champions airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on NBC.
