Angela Yee has reacted to Jess Hilarious officially joining The Breakfast Club.

On the latest episode of Way Up with Angela Yee, the talking head showed Hilarious love, reacting with grace and congratulating Jess on the new job. “Shout out to Jess Hilarious, they just announced that she is the new third host of The Breakfast Club. We love Jess Hilarious, so congratulations,” Yee said.

In another segment of the show, Angela then showed love to Jess’ many hats in the entertainment industry. “She’s got her own podcast, she’s a comedian, we know her from Wild’ N Out, we know her from her Jess With the Mess.”

Angela and her co-host Jasmine Brand then discussed the Baltimore native’s acting career. They mentioned the recently released First Lady of BMF: The Tonesa Welch Story. Jess co-stars in the BET+ film as Lisa alongside Michelle Mitchenor, Tobias Truvillion, Daphnique Springs, and more. Yee and Brand expressed that they had just seen the movie and bigged up Jess for her role. “I just remember feeling, ‘Okay, that was dope.’ But congratulations to her. I know it’s not an easy job,” Yee added.

Jess Hilarious was officially named the third co-host of The Breakfast Club on Monday (Jan. 29). The comedian took to Instagram that day to formally announce her arrival, uploading a clip featuring voice-overs from various commentators about her role on the talk show. Other voices in the video asserted that she may have lost her opportunity to join the iHeart morning show.

Towards the end of the clip, Jess takes her seat on The Breakfast Club throne as Charlamagne Tha God and DJ Envy stand by her side. “Thoughts Bout Breakfast Club Be Like,” she captioned the dramatic footage.

On Wednesday (Jan. 31), Jess posted a note of gratitude to her IG. She took a victory lap and showed off the behind-the-scenes footage leading up to her big announcement. Hilarious thanked her fans for riding with her and standing by her through “every controversy.”

“What does it mean to be a fan? A person who exhibits strong interest or admiration for something or somebody,” she typed. “As someone who has millions of them, you guys make me go harder. This is strictly a post for y’all. I thank you for standing by me. Through every controversy and every hard time I’ve had in this shit, MY FANS STOOD BY ME AND NEVER LEFT? emotional as hell this morning. I will NEVER let yall down PROMISE.”
