Yesterday (Sept. 18) marked Angela Simmons‘ 36th birthday, and her significant other made sure to make the day as special as possible. In an Instagram Story, she shared a romantic surprise from Yo Gotti that included several bouquets of flowers, black-and-white boxes, and a saxophonist. “Great, I’m crying, but this is so cute,” she said as tears flowed. “Definitely came from working out, and I’m crying now, but this is so cute.” Another clip showed a close-up of the couple holding hands.
Gotti shared a video of his own on social media which gave viewers a different vantage point of the beautiful gesture. The two could also be spotted taking a walk and catching vibes with a group of tribal dancers amid a breathtaking tropical scene in the background. “Happy birthday, shawty. You’re the one, two, and three, Angela Simmons. Live it up! You know it’s whatever you want,” the Memphis rapper stated with a string of heart emojis.
As previously reported by REVOLT, Gotti and Simmons made their relationship public in a New Year’s Eve photoshoot to the delight of their respective fans. The connection was even more notable given how Gotti had zero qualms about sharing his feelings to the world several years prior. “I just followed Angela Simmons, boy, I got a crush on Angela Simmons, they like, ‘D**n, Gotti, you bold,’ f**k it, I’m gon’ let the world know,” the CMG head honcho declared on the hit single “Down In The DM” back in 2015.
In a recent interview on V-103’s “Big Tigger Morning Show,” Simmons spoke on a prayer that she said prior to linking with Gotti. “I was just like, ‘Look, God, I’m cool with whatever it is at this point,'” she recounted. “‘Whether I’m going to be in a relationship or not be in a relationship,’ and we just winded up in a relationship together. It was crazy.”
