Can Andy Dalton lead the Cowboys?

TEREZ PAYLOR: Good to see the Cowboys win this game anyway, right? They beat New York 37-34. Probably a little too close because New York sucks. But they had to overcome some stuff in this game, like seeing your team captain and a beloved guy go down hurts you.

Some things I saw that encourage me though. Dalton completed nine of 11 passes. I actually think he's gonna be a good fit with what they want to do. He is going to be more than competent. I actually feel like the Super Bowl ceiling-- we were talking about, hey, can Dallas go to the Super Bowl? I don't know about that, but I still feel like, hey, winning this division is possible for the Dallas Cowboys. I still feel that's there.

And I think we know what this team's gonna be now. It's gonna be downhill, it's gonna be run the football, and it's gonna be some zone stuff. They'll do play-action off that. It'll be CeeDee Lamb operating out of the slot. And they got the two receivers. And Gallup, who made an unbelievable catch that basically ended up winning the game, right?

CHARLES ROBINSON: Right.

TEREZ PAYLOR: I think Dallas is gonna be OK, man. What about you?

CHARLES ROBINSON: I don't want to get overboard with the Cowboys. I think it'll be incumbent upon them to solidify their identity with Andy Dalton now, figure out what that means for their offense, and then frankly figure out if they can be more of a power possession type team. I mean, look, if they become a power running team with Zeke and Pollard, you take a little bit of heat off your defense because you possess, you hold the ball. There's time of possession, so that--

TEREZ PAYLOR: It works.

CHARLES ROBINSON: Yeah, it takes them off the field--

TEREZ PAYLOR: Guys, just look at the--

CHARLES ROBINSON: --a little bit.
