As for whether he thought Markle would do his show now, Cohen said, "I don’t think so, I think she’s kind of done with it... I don't blame her. 'You passed on me then, you want me now?' No"

Andy Cohen is still kicking himself for passing up the opportunity to have Meghan Markle as a guest on Watch What Happens Live.

Long before Markle, 42, married Prince Harry and became the Duchess of Sussex, she was starring as Rachel Zane on USA Network's legal drama, Suits. Around that time, Markle was pitched as a guest on Cohen's late-night Bravo show.

"It was when she was on Suits," Cohen, 55, explained during Saturday's "Ask Andy" panel at BravoCon 2023. "I didn’t watch Suits. And I guess she was pitched and we passed, and as my executive producer said, 'You really never know who is going to become a duchess.'"

When asked by moderator Rachel Lindsay if there are any other stars he's turned down, Cohen said, "I don’t know, but we’re going to find out. When I think there could be clips of Meghan Markle kiki-ing with me, doing a shot and talking about Vicki Gunvalson? I want to kill myself."

As for whether he thought Markle would do his show now, Cohen shared, "I don’t think so, I think she’s kind of done with it. You know what by the way? I don’t blame her. 'You passed on me then, you want me now?' No."

Lindsay responded by saying she loves Suits, but Cohen had a different perspective about the series, which has since had a massive resurgence on Netflix.

"It always seemed like a fake show to me," Cohen admitted. "I don’t know why. It’s shot in Canada, is it a parody of a show? Is it shot on green screens? I don’t know… Justice for Suits, I guess."

Markle starred on the legal drama from 2011 to 2018. After meeting Prince Harry met through a mutual friend in 2016 and announcing their engagement the following year, USA Network said the seventh season of Suits would be Markle's last. Suits then concluded with a ninth and final season in 2019.

This wasn't the first time that Markle came up at BravoCon weekend. During Friday's "Ask Andy" panel, Cohen admitted he'd be curious to see Markle as a housewife on a future Real Housewives spinoff.

"If we can get Meghan Markle, that would be interesting,” he said after Montecito was thrown out as a possible city idea.

Cohen’s reference to the estranged royal comes after Markle and husband Prince Harry left their life in England behind for a quieter routine in the Santa Barbara suburb.
