Andy Cohen Reveals *This* Celebrity Kid Works on Real Housewives: "A Full Circle Moment"

It was a “full circle moment” for Andy Cohen.

The author/TV talk show host recently revealed that Michael Consuelos, the son of celebrity couple Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, had worked behind the scenes on multiple Bravo shows. Andy shared the information during the July 13 episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, where he temporarily filled in for Kelly who was away "on assignment."

“The Bravo shows are huge in our house,” Mark told guest co-host Andy. “We started watching The Real Housewives of Miami, which is blowing my mind. And you know, Michael is working on all.”

Andy then shared a few more details about Michael’s duties for the network.

“I know it’s crazy,” he said. “So Michael Consuelos is now working... he worked on [The Real Housewives of New Jersey], he worked on this new season of The Real Housewives of New York City.”

He also confirmed Michael's involvement with the Summer House and Winter House productions, which he “loves.”

“I keep texting him being like, ‘Who’s your favorite?’” the Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen host continued. "‘Who are you enjoying?’”

Mark said Michael was “very diplomatic” when it came to discussing the on-screen talent, and suggested his son was tight-lipped about which Bravolebrities he enjoyed the most. Andy said he knew Michael had “a couple of favorites,” but declined to drop any names.

Andy has known Michael since he was a kid

Andy has been longtime friends with Kelly and Mark, who share two other children: Lola Consuelos and Joaquin Consuelos. The WWHL host said he had known Michael since he was a child and recalled his very first interaction with the New York University alum.

“The first words he said were, ‘Can I hug your Snoopy?’” Andy said. “I mean, this is a kid we love.”

Michael, who has also secured several acting gigs, graduated from NYU in 2020 with a degree in film and TV studies. But as E! News pointed out, Michael’s in-person graduation ceremony was postponed to 2022 because of COVID-19 restrictions.

Kelly spoke about Michael’s post-college life back in November, saying her son — like so many others — had faced some difficulties in the tight job market.

“Adulting is hard nowadays. It’s very hard for kids,” she said on an episode of her morning talk show. “Job opportunities aren’t what they were. The economy is driving this trend. I know that Michael graduated college in May of 2020 and he had a writing job lined up which evaporated because the pandemic shut down the production and it just never came back … We gave him a grace period of an additional year to find other job opportunities.”
