Andy Cohen, Kandi & Marlo Have a Lot of Feelings About the RHOA Season 16 Cast: "So Overdue"

The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 cast is officially here, and some people could not be any more excited for what is to come.

After Bravo confirmed the official cast list on May 14, a number of Bravolebs including Andy Cohen himself took to the comments section of Instagram to share their enthusiasm. Needless to say, this season is going to be highly anticipated.

Who will be on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 16 cast?

Kenya Moore and Drew Sidora will return to the show after Season 15, in addition to Porsha Williams who last appeared on the show from Season 5 to Season 13. Joining them will be new housewives: Brittany Eady, Kelli Ferrell, Angela Oakley, and longtime friend, Shamea Morton Mwangi. Finally, RHOA alum, Cynthia Bailey, will be returning as a friend to the women.

Shamea celebrated the announcement on May 14, taking to Instagram where she posted a series of photos of her posing in a bikini on the beach, while holding a peach. "It's my mutha lovin birthday and instead of getting a cake, I GOT A PEACH," Shamea wrote in the caption of the post.

Multiple people took to the comments to congratulate her while leaving her so many peach emojis: "So overdue and so excited!!!!!!" Andy wrote in the comments. "And happy birthday."

"Congratulations Diva," recent RHOA alum, Marlo Hampton, added. "Yaaaaaaaaassssss," Kenya stated.

Both Porsha and recent RHOA alum, Kandi Burruss, also chimed in with encouragement for the new cast member. "Yasssssss!!! Go crazy!!! Finally," Porsha commented. "Sweet 16 just got sweeter. Love you bestie."

"I'm so glad the news is finally out!," Kandi wrote. "Congratulations sis! You're the peach they needed."

And RHOA alum, Eva Marcille, congratulated Shamea while throwing just a bit of shade. "Screaming happy birthday and congratulations," she wrote. "You deserve it. One of the few that are thorough through and through."

That same day, Cynthia took to Instagram where she posted a stunning headshot of her, wearing a cream colored suit, smiling into the camera. "Everyone needs a good friend," she captioned the post, referring to her new position on the cast.

RHOA alums, cast members, and her friends took to the comments, where they agreed with her. "I'm soooooo excited Friend," Porsha wrote, while Kandi simply commented a kissing face emoji.

"Yes they do, honey!" The Real Housewives of New Jersey friend Jackie Goldschneider commented. "Congrats!!"

"The definition of a real friend through and through," Shamea added. "Can't wait to hear you say .... 'Now what else is going on' and throw your hair to the side," Marlo wrote.

The excitement from everyone is palpable as production for RHOA Season 16 is set to begin in May 2024 and is set to premiere in 2025.
