Bravo’s kingpin has been a working cog in the reality TV machine since 2000. The years of Y2K, butterfly clips, and boybands ushered in another iconic network as well. Thanks to Andy Cohen and a plethora of others, Bravo was gifted the Real Housewives franchise, which in turn caught the eye of a generation of new viewers. Since then, Andy has pretty much been the face and often holds court on his show, Watch What Happens Live.

Like Tom Sandoval, Andy was born in St. Louis, MO, but has yet to find himself in a deep affair like Scandoval. Andy didn’t just wake up one day and decide to become a TV personality; he worked for it. He spent ten years at CBS and now has his own XM radio station, Radio Andy. Over the last two decades, Andy has become synonymous with fun and shade. So, let’s take a look at some of the man’s best Bravo moments.

Teresa vs. Andy

Who could ever forget the time Andy was manhandled by the Real Housewives of New Jersey’s Teresa Giudice? The mother of four became so enraged by Danielle Staub that she physically restrained the host from holding her back. Everyone was in a state of shock, and even Andy looked bemused. He joked that he worked out but was no match for Teresa’s rage.

After the dust settled, Andy infamously muttered the words “Don’t cross me” at the OG, putting the Jersey girl back in her place. For years, fans thought Andy had threatened Tre when, in reality, he was telling her not to cross where he was sitting physically, or security would have had to be called. The two are good friends today and often laugh about the fiery moment.

Andy vs. Ramona

Ramona Singer never loved being in the hot seat, but Andy never minded putting the Real Housewives of New York star on blast, especially when it came to her divorce. Andy dared to dive deeper into Mario Singer’s affair during an earlier reunion, but Ramona wasn’t having it. The mother of one lashed out at the host, asking, “So, how’s your love life? Who are you going to have sex with tonight? Tell me.” Andy didn’t waste a beat answering, “I’ll tell you when I go on a reality show.” Ramona tried to point out, “You’re on a reality show.” Andy cooly replied, “I’m actually not, honey.” At that moment, you could cut the tension with a knife.

Yolanda vs. Andy

Yolanda Hadid wasn’t the best of housewives. In fact, I would argue that she was a mess. Her husband was the king of the house, her supermodel daughters were allowed one almond, and the former model was just stuck in the middle of it all. But when she dared to try and suggest at the reunion that being gay was “a choice,” Andy ended it. The line of questioning came about because Yolanda mentioned on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills that she thought her daughter might be a lesbian because she wanted to play sports. Andy didn’t let that line of thinking slide and shut the conversation down.

Vicki vs. Andy

One of the greatest housewives of all time, Vicki Gunvalson, is great for TV but also, at times, delusional. During the reunion, the OG lost her cool when she tried to act holier than thou. The mother of two wanted the ladies to elevate the show, but Andy was quick to remind Vic of her past indiscretions. The host pointed out, “Vicki, you demonstrated how to give a blow job. You flashed the cameras.”

Vicki continued to stand tall on her pedestal, telling the entire cast that she had started the show and didn’t have to try out. Andy balked at the comment, revealing, “Yeah, you auditioned. I SAW your audition tape.” In an attempt to shut Andy down, Vicki then stated, “Don’t forget where you came from.” Andy noted, “That was insane.”
