Andy Cohen has issued Brandi Glanville an apology after she accused him of sexual harassment.

In a letter sent to NBCUniversal (Bravo's parent company), Warner Bros, and production company Shed Media on Thursday by Glanville's attorneys Bryan J. Freedman and Mark Geragos, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star claims Cohen sent her an inappropriate recording back in 2022.

“Ms. Glanville herself has been a victim of sexual harassment at Bravo by none other than Andy Cohen," the letter, which was filed in Los Angeles and obtained by PEOPLE, read.

“In a video sent by Mr. Cohen to Ms. Glanville in 2022, Mr. Cohen — appearing obviously inebriated — boasted of his intention to sleep with another Bravo star that night while thinking of her and invited her to watch via Facetime,” it continued.

On Thursday afternoon, Cohen, 55, issued an apology on X (formerly known as Twitter).

“The video shows Kate Chastain and I very clearly joking to Brandi. It was absolutely meant in jest, and Brandi’s response clearly communicated she was in on the joke. That said, it was totally inappropriate and I apologize,” Cohen wrote.

A Bravo rep had no comment but a source who saw the video tells PEOPLE the clip was comedic in nature.

“No one in their right mind would think that anything Andy was saying in that video was meant to be taken seriously," says the insider. "It was very clear that everyone was in on the joke.”

Glanville’s attorneys said Cohen “remains in his post,” continuing his work with Bravo, and likened the production companies and network to another where “profits were prioritized over people.”

“Mr. Cohen was Ms. Glanville’s boss at the time and exercised complete and total control over her career,” the letter stated. Freedman and Geragos called Cohen's alleged actions “an extraordinary abuse of power that left Ms. Glanville feeling trapped and disgusted.”

The letter also referenced the Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip season that Glanville participated in. Former Real Housewives of New Jersey star Caroline Manzo was also a cast member on the trip to Morocco, which has yet to air.

Glanville was asked to leave filming in Morocco last January after allegedly taking things too far with costar Manzo during a party, kissing the Real Housewives of New Jersey alumna multiple times throughout the evening without her consent and groping her off-camera.

Glanville has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

Per Thursday's letter, “the cast spent the day in question drinking alcohol, smoking marijuana, and, at the end of the evening, learning how to belly dance.” At “a party thrown by production,” Glanville and Manzo, 62, began “dirty dancing” with each other, with allegations of misconduct that occurred between the two in a bathroom later that evening.

“We have heard about a supposed ‘bathroom incident’ through press leaks, but Shed Media has repeatedly refused to allow Ms. Glanville or her counsel to see the footage in question; there is no truth to any allegations of impropriety,” her attorneys said.

“Ms. Glanville and Ms. Manzo were never alone together that evening,” they added.
