Andrew Woodhead Appointed Working Title TV Managing Director

Brit production powerhouse Working Title has tapped Andrew Woodhead as the new managing director of its TV division. Woodhead was previously an exec producer at Kudos, working on the likes of Spooks and the UK version of Law & Order. He also served as exec producer on Sky Atlantic’s Fortitude and Sky 1’s Sinbad. He also produced Abi Morgan’s BAFTA-winning single film White Girl.

Recently, he has been developing his own projects, including an adaptation of The Man Booker prize-winning The Luminaries and producing Marcella, written by Hans Rosenfeldt (The Bridge) for ITV.

TV is a priority area for Working Title co-chiefs Tim Bevan and Eric Fellner. The TV division, based in London and L.A., is a joint venture with NBCUniversal International Studios. The L.A. office recently appointed Andrew Stearn as president.

Woodhead is tasked with developing high-end scripted British programming with wide international and commercial appeal. Previous WT TV credits include You, Me and the Apocalypse, London Spy and Birdsong.

“In Andrew, we now have an extraordinarily talented and imaginative producer at the heart of the UK company,” said NBC Uni intl studios president Michael Edelstein. “He is a passionate storyteller, has produced some of the finest television in Britain and loves a big challenge.”
