It’s not too early to start thinking about New Year’s resolutions, and Andrade El Idolo is aiming for a major year in 2024.
On the December 9 episode of AEW Collision, Andrade scored a major victory when he defeated Bryan Danielson in an AEW Continental Classic match. The win marked Andrade’s second consecutive victory in a tournament match, so he is rolling as the tournament begins to heat up.
In a Digital Exclusive, Andrade El Idolo shared his thoughts following his win over Danielson and his momentum going forward. He stated that 2024 is going to be his year.
“I have been waiting three years for this opportunity,” he said. “I told you, 2024 is going to be my year. The year of the Idolo. The year of the real Latino man. No one will stop me.”
CJ Perry, Andrade’s manager, chimed in by saying, “This is the reason I negotiated an extra bonus for him to come into the tournament. He beat the greatest wrestler in the world, which makes him, Andrade, the greatest wrestler in the world. No one’s gonna stop him.”
