André 3000 Announces New Blue Sun Live Tour
André 3000 has revealed the upcoming run of dates for his New Blue Sun live tour.
Kicking off in Brooklyn on Monday, Jan. 29, the beloved rapper will perform his new instrumental LP in select cities including New York City, Detroit, Chicago, San Francisco, and Atlanta before closing out his intimate tour in Los Angeles in early March.
New Blue Sun was released back in November and was co-produced by Three Stacks and lauded multi-instrumentalist Carlos Niño. It featured the musicality of Nate Mercereau, Surya Botofasina, Deantoni Parks, Diego Gaeta, Matthewdavid, V.C.R, Diego Gaeta, Jesse Peterson, and Mia Doi Todd.
It opens with a 12-minute track titled “I Swear, I Really Wanted to Make a ‘Rap’ Album but This Is Literally the Way the Wind Blew Me This Time,” which debuted at No. 90 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. He made history with the record as it was the longest song in the chart’s history.
Tickets for the highly-anticipated tour will go on sale on Wednesday (Jan. 24) at 10 a.m. local time via the Myriad of Pyramids website. Check out the full tour dates below.
