'Anchorman' Star David Koechner Files For Divorce From Wife After 20 Years

'Anchorman' star David Koechner has filed divorce from his wife, Leigh, after over 20 years of marriage.

According to legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the comedian who plays 'Champ Kind' in 'Anchorman filed for divorce today in Los Angeles County Court.

The actor hit his breakout roll in the movie in 2004, and he has been married to his wife since 1998. The now ex-couple has five children together and it's unclear if he will pay child support in the case.

David, who also played Todd Packer on NBC's The Office, met his wife on an airplane and they tied the knot in June of 1998.

It's unclear what caused the split, and his wife has yet to respond to the legal filing.

Interestingly, Leigh Koechner is leading a seminar on the web about divorce starting in late January.

We are guessing Mrs. Koechner is going to discuss her ongoing relationship with the actor during the broadcast. She tweeted a video promoting the event saying it is a 6-week webinar, with 6 pillars of the stages of divorce and how to navigate them.

She captioned the video, "Divorce sucks, but we don’t have to suffer. Join me Jan. 28 at 11 am pst via a private Zoominar. We will have an intimate space to feel, heal and create a new perspective on divorce."

In the video, she says, "Hello friend, are you going through a divorce?...are you thinking about it? is your marriage struggling are you in the middle of divorce? have you gone through a divorce and are still bitter? or are you touched deeply by a family member who is experiencing it or a friend or a coworker?"

She continued, it will be helping bring people 'Back to love, back to happiness."

At the end, she asks, "So if you have someone you know, or if it's you ... please join me. It's much needed and 100 percent of us experience some part of divorce."

David and Leigh have been married for two decades with five children, and are now going through a divorce, we are guessing she is going to have some good insight.
