"I don't want to see him in any restaurant, I don't want to see him at any awards show, I'm not going to buy any brand that he's associated with," Navarro said.

Ana Navarro has taken a firm stand against Diddy in an impassioned defense of his ex-girlfriend, recording artist Cassie, after CNN published a video of the rapper assaulting her in a hotel hallway in 2016.

Navarro intensely criticized Diddy after moderator Whoopi Goldberg introduced on Monday's episode of The View a Hot Topic about the assault, with the Ghost actress tipping the discussion to her cohosts after she became visibly disturbed by the footage after it played on screen. The panelists then broke down Diddy's follow-up apology video, which came amid news that he wouldn't be prosecuted by the Los Angeles Police Department District Attorney's office due to the statute of limitations expiring.

"He should've said, 'I'm sorry that I was caught,'" Navarro observed, before launching into a fiery condemnation of Diddy.

"Shame on all the people around Sean Combs who've enabled, justified, and looked the other way on all of this type of behavior for decades, because these whispers have been around for decades," she said. "The LAPD might not be able to charge him, but we are able to shun him, and he should be treated like the social leper and criminal he is. We saw him commit assault. I don't want to see him in any restaurant, I don't want to see him at any awards show, I'm not going to buy any brand that he's associated with.... I think this guy should be treated and pay horrible social consequences if the legal ones don't get him."

In an Instagram video shared Sunday, Diddy addressed the video of him assaulting Cassie and apologized.

“I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted. I was disgusted then when I did it. I’m disgusted now. I went and I sought professional help," he said in the clip. "After going to therapy and going to rehab, I had to ask God for his mercy and grace. I’m so sorry. But I’m committed to being a better man each and every day. I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry."

Navarro's fellow Republican panelist Alyssa Farah Griffin wasn't pleased with the apology, as she noted that it didn't contain a "message to young men" urging them not to resort to physical violence in any relationship.

Griffin went on to reveal that she, too, was the victim of domestic abuse in a past relationship.

"It happened once. I was one of the lucky ones where the power dynamics were in my favor. I could leave, I could walk away, I could remove myself from him," she recalled. "In the vast majority of cases, that is not the case. They use financial abuse to keep you, emotional manipulation, and add to that that this is a multi-millionaire, incredibly powerful, incredibly well-connected person there's an entire industry of making money off of him. She had no hope to get away from him."

Prior to CNN's publication of footage from the 2016 assault, Cassie initially sued Diddy for past abuse and rape in November 2023, though the suit was settled the day after it was filed.

At the time, an attorney for Diddy said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly that the entertainer "vehemently denies" Cassie's "offensive and outrageous allegations."
