Amy Schumer Gets Drunk in Love in the New 'Trainwreck' Trailer

The Amy Schumer train is approaching the station.

We’re less than a month away from Trainwreck, the Comedy Central star’s Judd Apatow-directed big screen breakout, which means that the trailers and clips are beginning to come in waves. In the new preview, which you can see above, we get a succinct, self-narrated introduction to fictionalized Amy’s world: She loves partying, hates commitment, works at a popular men’s magazine, and is super-tight with her sister, played by Brie Larson (who is married to a lovable dork played by Mike Birbiglia).

Things are going swimmingly for our heroine…until she meets a doctor played by Bill Hader and —gasp! — actually kinda likes him. Which is especially troubling, since he likes her, too… and is encouraged to go for it by everyone’s favorite love guru, LeBron James. Finally, the girl-meets-boy, girl-resists-boy-but-secretly-likes-him, boy-is-inspired-by-basketball-star-BFF rom-com that we’ve been waiting for.

The film, which got great reviews after its debut at SXSW in March, hits theaters on July 17.
