Amy Schumer to the Bridge: 'Star Trek Beyond' Cast's Celebrity Crewmate Wish List
Star Trek Beyond has a large and impressive cast already, but with more sequels comes the opportunity for new cast members. When Yahoo Movies had the opportunity to sit down with the stars of this latest space adventure, we asked them who they think would make a good addition to the bridge of the Enterprise. They had some pretty stellar choices.
“Morgan Freeman as the voice of God?” Chris Pine suggested. When his co-star Zachary Quinto pointed out that Freeman’s been there and done that, Pine offered, “Maybe the GPS device on the Enterprise? ‘Turn left on the second star.’” Then to mix things he up, he suggested Marlon Brando from The Island of Dr. Moreau. It stands to reason that they have a better chance of securing Freeman’s participation, though.
“Amy Schumer,” Zoe Saldana said. “Because just the crazy stuff that would be coming out of a captain like Amy Schumer would be hysterical.”
Following his co-star’s lead, John Cho wants Dave Chappelle. “Actually, Amy and Dave should be together,” Saldana said. Cho then launched into a Chappelle impression that’s probably best to just watch, not read. So do it!
