Amy Schumer Praises Sleep Coach for Helping Son Gene, 4, with 'Bedtime Routine': 'We Get Our Nights Back'

The comedian revealed that her son now goes to sleep three hours earlier each night

Amy Schumer is thanking her son's sleep coach after she "seriously saved" her family.

The comedian, 42, shared a post to Instagram on Thursday, in which she revealed that toddler sleep consultant Jessica Berk of Awesome Little Sleepers helped her 4-year-old son Gene master a "bedtime routine."

"We’re finally SLEEPING again. Jessica @awesomelittlesleepers helped us create a bedtime routine for our 4 year old and now he’s going to bed 3 hours earlier than he was. We got our nights back," Schumer wrote, alongside a black-and-white photo of her and husband Chris Fischer out on a walk.

"She seriously saved us," Schumer added. "This is not an ad. Just trying to pass on the info that helped us."

Berk reposted Schumer's photo to her own Instagram Story, writing that it was "such a pleasure" working with her family.

Gene's sleep coach, according to her website, has "helped thousands of families learn how to get their kids to bed peacefully on time and sleeping 10-12 hours each night with no wake ups," thanks to her digital course Sleep Tight Without a Fight.

Schumer and Fischer, who tied the knot in 2018, welcomed their only son on May 5, 2019. The Trainwreck star has previously been open about her son's health, having revealed Gene's bout with respiratory syncytial virus, known as RSV over a year ago.

In an Instagram post in November 2022, Schumer detailed how her child was hospitalized for RSV as she took on Saturday Night Live hosting duties at the time. She added that Gene was "home and better" after the health scare.

"This was the hardest week of my life," Schumer wrote alongside photos from SNL. "I missed Thursday rehearsals when my son was rushed to the ER and admitted for RSV. Shout out to all the parents going through this right now."

Schumer has also uses her social media presence to make light of parenthood's sillier moments. Last June, she uploaded an image of her only son being held by fellow comedian Chris Rock, alongside the caption "Happy Father's Day."
