Amy Schumer and ‘I Feel Pretty’ Tackle Body Image Issues in First Trailer

Amy Schumer, who has spent her comedy career tackling body image and fat shaming, will tackle those issues in the upcoming comedy “I Feel Pretty,’ which had its first trailer released through STX on Thursday.

In the film, Schumer plays Renee Barrett, a woman struggling with feelings of inadequacy on a daily basis. But one day, after being knocked unconscious in a freak accident at the gym, she wakes up believing she is the most beautiful and capable woman in the world. Even though her body hasn’t changed at all, Renee goes out with her new confidence and tries out the things she was too self-conscious to try before.
