Amy Schumer 'Defends' Bill Cosby

The hits just keep coming on Inside Amy Schumer, with the show’s latest in scathing social commentary taking on the ever-burgeoning Bill Cosby alleged rape scandal. In a sketch called “The Court of Public Opinion,” the hot-button topic was put on trial in a courtroom drama parody.

Playing an over-confident defense attorney in a terrible suit with a hiked up skirt, Schumer maintains her signature doe-eyed charm while methodically tearing down the once-wholesome image of the besmirched TV dad. The prosecution doesn’t stand a chance as Schumer’s lawyer wins over the jury with Cosby signatures like pudding pops, fun ‘90s sweaters, a faux scene with The Cosby Show son Theo, and a last-minute surprise chocolate cake delivery, tying in an old Bill Cosby standup routine. “Does anyone feel raped by that?” she asks incredulously. Well done, counselor.
