Amy Robach is looking back on the unassuming way she fell in love with T.J. Holmes.

On Tuesday's episode of the couple's Amy & T.J. Podcast, the former GMA3: What You Need to Know co-hosts opened up about the life lessons they've learned while reflecting on the past year.

"I learned that it's — you're gonna love this one — it's better to fall into like, and then walk into love," Robach, 50, laughed before explaining exactly how she "chose love after falling into like."

"I couldn't help how much I liked you. I just always liked being around you," she said of Holmes, 46, who quipped that she "stumbled into love" and Robach added she still had a "few bruises" from the fall.

As the couple continued to reflect on the past year, Robach noted that she's learned that "choosing love is always worth it."

News of Robach and Holmes' romance was made public in November 2022, when photos of them cozying up together surfaced. At the time, Robach had not confirmed her separation from her ex-husband Andrew Shue, nor had Holmes from his ex-wife Marilee Fiebig.

On Dec. 5, 2022, Robach and Holmes were “temporarily” removed from GMA3 and the following month, it was officially announced that they would not be returning to their roles at ABC News as a result of the company's investigation into their romance.

In the debut episode of their podcast last month, Robach gave more insight into their romance, which she called "the most beautiful relationship I’ve ever had in my life.”

"In the end, all of us are always rooting for love," she continued. "It doesn’t always happen when you want it to happen, where you want it happen. And it's undeniable when it’s real and it’s something you have to navigate and it’s not easy."
