Amy Poehler and Tina Fey to host the 2021 Golden Globes

Less than a week after the 2020 Golden Globes handed out its last trophy, the host for next year’s ceremony has been revealed. Or rather, hosts.

Amy Poehler and Tina Fey will emcee the 2021 Golden Globes, it was announced by Poehler (posing as NBC communications chief Chip Sullivan) on Saturday at the Television Critics Association’s Winter Press Tour in Pasadena.

The fourth time may again be the charm, as Fey and Poehler hosted three times previously, from 2013-2015. Ricky Gervais hosted the 2020 edition, his fifth stint as emcee, which he also claimed would be his last.

A specific date has not yet been announced for the 2021 Globes.

SNL vets Poehler and Fey have maintained strong ties to the Peacock. Poehler, who starred in Parks and Recreation, currently co-hosts the NBC crafts competition Making It, which has been renewed for a third season, Poehler also announced on Saturday. Fey, who created and starred in 30 Rock, is creating and executive-producing an NBC comedy starring Ted Danson as an L.A. mayor.
